Friction

“We need to get him adopted, I’ve made a terrible mistake. I want my old life back”  Three days into motherhood, Rachel doesn’t recognise herself. There’s nothing Sam won’t do to keep his family together, but how do you beat an enemy you can’t see?

A visceral and inspiring story of hard-won recovery, and the resilience couples find when their world is falling apart. Inspired by unflinching interviews with couples that have come through postnatal depression, ‘Friction’ is a challenging piece of new writing performed by Georgia Fox-Robinson and Aiden Casey, and directed by Kevin Johnson of Symbiotic Theatre and Marjon University.

“Friction is an honest, touching, thoughtful, multi-layered play with compelling performances and an impact that will stay with you.”  PEOPLE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH DEVON
