In 2024 and 2025 Documental ran a songwriting programme for PWLDs and carers which was accessible in person and online. For the zoom version of the course, families joined us from as far afield as Kent and Arizona.
We co-created a short album of pop songs that expressed where the group found joy, resilience and connection. Sing and Sign Jukebox Choir performed the songs at a showcase in Teignbridge in 2025, before we took the songs on tour with the play Scaffolding. Audiences from Northumbria to Cornwall sang and signed the songs as part of a double bill.
